With 23k DoreJEM and Squishydood, power couple Tanavit23 and Squishy Pea jump start Studio Neon, Singapore’s latest art gallery. Minom Minom, Studio Neon’s opening show, features 18 visual artists who have upcycled the lowly glass bottle into statement pieces.
According to Studio Neon,
Minom Minom is a group show about the visual exploration of creativity and sustainability in a casual setting. This exhibition explores art making using glass bottles we have upcycled while brining the idea of sustainability in art.Studio Neon
23k DoreJEM is Tanavit23’s latest entry in the JEM super family. Using the DoreJEM platform that we first saw in September of last year, 23k DoreJEM is a mashup of Doraemon and JEM, but this time he’s gold, baby!
And though 23k is a one-off, JEM collectors sit tight; rumor has it that DoreJEM will ride again soon, wink wink!
And Squishy Pea’s Squishydood?
Squishy Pea has also joined the fray with her Squishydood custom! Featuring a double dose of her all original, oft nude character, Pepe, this Squishydood custom is as cool as it is cute.
Using the bottom half of a bottle as a little slice of ocean, Squishy Pea perched two Squishydoods on the rim and filled the container with an assortment of sea creatures. From octos to eels and everything in between, this custom is perfect for all the sea lovers out there.
