Ch3at Cod3’s ‘MechTeq23’ Makes Him Custom King at Stormy Vault’s ‘Melee Show’

Ch3at Cod3’s ‘MechTeq23’ wins top honors at the Stormy Vault ‘Melee Show’

It takes an incredible amount of artistic vision and skill to successfully customize a vinyl figure, and at just 19 years old, Ch3at Cod3 (real name Mario Jayes), has definitely got the goods. His latest custom, the massively impressive MechTeq23, took first place at the Stormy Vault Melee Show this past weekend, earning him Stormy Vault‘s Artist of the Year!

MechTeq23, which just sold for an impressive $1300 at auction, is one of the most intricate TEQ63 customs to date. According to Stormy Vault, Jayes envisioned the massive 12 inch TEQ as a mech piloted by 3 inch pilot, Micron 23, to defend his village from evil.

To achieve this awesome mech effect, Jayes implemented custom sculpting, painting, and wiring, giving it an awesome aesthetic and epic lighting! The use of lights in customization is a specialty of Ch3at Cod3’s, as seen not only in MechTeq23 but in his previous customs, including Iron Fatts, Iron Man Chomp, Robo-Chomp, and more!

Congratulations to Artist of the Year Mario Jayes! Head over to his Instagram to see more of his work and get yourself a Ch3at Cod3 custom.
